Katherine L. Muller, Psy.D., ABPP {%email%}
Dr. Muller is the Associate Director at the Center for Integrative Psychotherapy, PC. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in the field of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy. Dr. Muller received dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Anthropology from Douglass College of Rutgers University. She graduated with her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, where she was mentored by world-renowned Eating Disorders expert Dr. G. Terence Wilson. She completed two years of postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety with Dr. Edna Foa, an internationally recognized leader in the field of psychotherapy intervention for Post-traumatic Stress and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders.
Most recently, Dr. Muller served as the Director of Psychology Training at Montefiore Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, where she was also Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She established and directed the
Cognitive Behavior Therapy Program at Montefiore for 7 seven years, providing cutting-edge psychotherapy interventions for individuals with anxiety, depression, and other psychiatric disorders. She has conducted workshops on a number of topics including Exposure Therapy for
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Prolonged Exposure for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression.
Dr. Muller is the recipient of the prestigious American Psychological Association’s Psychotherapy Foundation Early Career Psychologist Award for 2009. She is board-certified in Cognitive Behavioral Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Muller has authored a number of journal articles and book chapters and presented on topics such as Stress, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, and Obesity. She served as the author of the
Early Career Column in the American Psychological Association’s quarterly newsletter
The Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Muller is a founding fellow of the
New York City Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Association. She has been featured as an expert in national media outlets including
